In Loving Memory of M.C. Plantly
I had this bamboo plant at work for the first year and a half that I was at EA. On my first day at work, I put a notecard on it that reads “Hello, My Name is M.C. Plantly.” This January, I had to throw M.C. Plantly’s rotted stalks into the trash. It was really sad! One of my previous superiors saw me doing it and asked me how I felt about losing this, my closest of friends at work.
It turns out you have to feed lucky bamboo, once a year or so. What kind of living creature can withstand that kind of neglect? Seriously, a year and a half and just water, water, water. I just assumed they ate air or something. I don’t remember the specifics of photosynthesis. Anyway, if you have a plant, feed it.
